Flexitimers was started because we believed in two compelling facts:

Firstly, many experienced professionals today have a wealth of experience in their chosen field and either like to work flexibly or have got to work flexibly due to other commitments. Finding flexible work of a professional level was difficult as there was no where for them to post their skills and employers to advertise projects – enter Flexitimers.
Secondly, in today’s business environment hiring full time permanent staff is too expensive, therefore companies of all sizes and types need to find professionals in a quick and efficient manner to work flexibly. That means not hiring full time staff but hiring people for projects or contract positions. Companies know what they want and Flexitimers is how they can get it – no need for recruitment agencies.

People behind Flexitimers

Dervla Cunningham – Managing Director

Dervla Cunningham is a founder of two previous start-up companies, Zartis.com and Arekibo Communications. She co-founded Zartis, an ebusiness services company in 1998 which was subsequently sold in 2000 to Boston-based Breakaway Solutions. In 2000 she co-founded Arekibo Communications (www.arekibo.com), a web design and internet consultancy company where she managed and sold a large number of web projects in both the public and private sector. She left Arekibo in 2006 to co-found Flexitimers.com.

Joy Redmond – Marketing & Operations Director

Joy Redmond started her career in 1996 as Marketing Director of one of Ireland’s first web design companies (www.newmedia.ie ). She remained agency side working with Zartis.com and Campaign HTDS before moving client side to become online marketing manager of IngredientsNet.com (a joint venture between Fyffes and Glanbia). Up to recently, she was a fulltime lecturer in E-business, research and marketing in the Dublin Institute of Technology and was Course Director of the Masters in Business & Entrepreneurship. Joy also is a busy freelance market researcher doing regular qualitative and quantitative research projects for many blue chip companies in Ireland such as Bank of Ireland, eircom, NTL, Poster Plan and JCDecaux.
